As part of the final assignment of the Cartography and Visualization course on the Masters in Geographic Information Science programme, we created an atlas of a chosen region of New Zealand. It needed to include a topographical, locational, statistical and non traditional web map. Mine was a tourist orientated atlas guide to the Tasman region, and were created using a combination of ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online and QGIS, using publically available data from Koordinates and Statistics New Zealand.
[Update]: These are only a couple of the maps, as I’ve been asked to keep the rest under wraps until this year’s cartography course is finished. Go create something original guys, you know who you are! 🙂
Very nice work!
