Mount Taranaki Terrain
A simple design of the Taranaki landscape. Golden lines of walking tracks and roads encircle and emanate from the Mount.
Made as part of my submissions for the #30DayMapChallenge. The map combines two types of terrain representation blended together – a traditional hillshade (created with Blender 3D) and hachures.
The hachures were created by symbolising contour lines as a line point marker rotated to a 90-degree angle so that the lines would flow down the slope.
