A series of black and white colouring maps depicting a series of New Zealand towns and cities, as seen in the New Zealand Herald.
- These maps were featured in an article and quiz on the New Zealand Herald.
- Data from OpenStreetMap was used to create a schematic like map layout of various New Zealand cities
- Reckon you have a good eye for locations? Have a go at identifying them in the quiz!
These maps were inspired by similar maps created by Gretchen Peterson in her book 'City Maps: A colouring book for adults', which included cities from all over the world. Sadly, no New Zealand cities were included, so I decided to have a go at making my own Kiwi versions instead.
It was an interesting challenge to map in black in white, as many of the maps I had completed previously took advantage of the variety of colour tools available.
You are welcome to download the selection of colouring maps on this page and colour them in yourselves!
